A new cast of charming and cheeky British bakers is coming to Netflix on September, 25 (in the U.S.), which means it’s time to catch up with some of our favorite former cast members of The Great British Baking Show (GBBS). Check out these five podcasts on topics ranging from parenting to psychology, and of course baking.
Briony May Williams
Featured on: Good Kids – “How To Embrace The Moment, Especially When It’s Uncomfortable (with Briony May Williams)”
First appearing in the 2018 season of the GBBS, and then winning the Great Christmas Bake Off, Briony May Williams joins the podcast Good Kids to discuss her approach to talking about today’s stressful world with her young child, and how they’ve used baking as a form of therapy during this time.
Host of: Stronger Minds
Kimberley Wilson, a very accomplished Psychologist, made it to the finale of season four of GBBS. In addition to being an author and lecturer, she also hosts her own podcast, Stronger Minds, focused on helping you “build a healthier brain and a stronger mind.”
Featured on: Fertility Springboard – “Manon – The Great British Bake Off Star”
Winner of having the most charming accent of season nine, Manon made it to the quarterfinals when Danish Week proved (get it…) to be too much to handle. Here she stops by the Fertility Springboard to talk nutrition, mental health and her experience on GBBS.
Featured on: Worst Foot Forward – “Ep 153: David Atherton – World’s Worst Restaurant“
Winner of season 10, David Atherton joins hilarious hosts Ben and Barry of Worst Foot Forward to chat about the world’s worst restaurant, his experience on GBBS, and what celebrity they’d most like to share a meal with.
Featured on: The Bake Down – “My Daughter Thinks She is Famous”
Dan joins the hosts of The Bake Down to talk about his experience on GBBS, including three Paul Hollywood handshakes, surviving dreaded soggy bottoms, and what he learned from being on the show.
The new season of The Great British Baking Show premiers (in the U.S.) on Netflix on Friday, September 25.
